50.4. A driver’s licence is valid from the date on which it is issued until the end of the holder’s birthday occurring during the year where the age of the holder becomes a multiple of 8. If the period thus obtained is less than 3 months, 96 months must be added thereto.
Despite the first paragraph, when the holder of a driver’s licence has not reached 24 years of age on the issue of the licence, the driver’s licence is valid until the end of the holder’s birthday occurring during the year where the holder reaches 24 years of age. If the period thus obtained is less than 3 months, 96 months must be added thereto.

The application of sections 50.4, 63 and 73.5 of this Regulation with respect to a person whose driver’s licence expires between 1 June 2023 and 1 September 2023 is suspended until the earliest of
(1) the date that is 90 days after the person’s birthday; and
(2) the date of the renewal of the licence.
During the suspension, the driver’s licence of the person referred to in the first paragraph is deemed to be valid.
The person referred to in the first paragraph must pay, on the renewal of the person’s driver’s licence, the amounts payable under section 69 of the Highway Safety Code for the 12-month period as of the person’s birthday. (M.O. 2023-19, 2023 G.O. 2, 937A)

A driver’s licence is valid from the date on which it is issued until the end of the holder’s birthday occurring during the year determined by adding multiples of 4 to the holder’s year of birth until the year thus obtained is that immediately following the year in which the licence is issued.
If the period thus obtained is less than 27 months, 48 months must be added thereto.
